Foodbank Aotearoa New Zealand helped our most vulnerable communities through COVID and the cost of living crisis.  FBANZ is now experiencing its own cost of living crisis and we have come to the regrettably hard decision that on December 22, 2023 we will be closing our doors as usual for a holiday break, but not reopening in January.  We will continue to serve our partner agencies in Christchurch, Ashburton and Timaru up to that date.  

 

We know our closure will be most acutely felt by our member agencies and the families that they serve, however we are doing our best to help build new partnerships to minimize these effects. 

 

FBANZ would like to thank our staff, volunteers, donors, and supporters for eight years of providing food relief in Canterbury.  Over this time, we have resourced millions of meals to those who needed it most in our region
