Christmas food hampers go out to 50 needy families throughout the city
Last week City Harvest Food Rescue Canterbury collaborated with the Takahe Lodge of Christchurch to collate Christmas food hampers to go to 50 needy families throughout the city. The hampers contained a full Christmas meal - chicken, stuffing, vegetables, potatoes, gravy, Christmas pudding and custard bought from New World South City Christchurch and supplemented with chocolates, coffee, biscuits, soup, pumpkin - supplied by CHFR. The hampers were packed by Lodge members at CHFR and were delivered to the recipients by the brethren. A wonderful gift for Christmas. Thanks Freemasons Lodge Takahe and the Freemasons Charity, and South City New World for working with us to make this happen!
