Westpac Champion Business Awards

Well, here we are the week after the Westpac Champion Business Awards last Wednesday, still on Cloud 4 or maybe 5!!

We are humbly grateful for having been recognized for all the passion, dedication and hard work put in by the entire CHFR team to help those who are food insecure and to make Christchurch a healthier place to live.

In the Rata Foundation Champion Community Impact – Small Enterprise award category we are humbled by and proud to be in the company of our other finalists – Volunteering Canterbury and The Graeme Dingle Foundation. Our sincere congratulations to them and we look forward to future collaborations!

Taking out the Supreme Award for Small Enterprise just blew us out of the water. Never in our wildest dreams did we even consider this possibility!

To all those involved in our journey, our Funders/Donors for their belief in what we do and their trust in us to be good stewards of their investment; to our Food Donor Partners and their staff that we interact with 6 days a week; our Sponsors; the CHFR Board for keeping the ship pointing true North; and of course, our on the ground team – our small but passionate and tireless staff and our dedicated volunteer group … … without whom none of this would have been possible – a huge Thanks!
